Wheel alignment is the position of your tires relative to each other and your vehicle’s frame. When aligned correctly, your tires all point in exactly the same direction, which means your vehicle travels as smoothly and efficiently as possible. If your tires aren’t aligned correctly, they will wear prematurely, and your vehicle will be difficult to steer.
Your wheels may be out of alignment if you notice any of the following symptoms:
- Your vehicle pulls to the left or the right as you’re holding your steering wheel straight.
- You need to hold your steering wheel at an odd angle to keep your vehicle traveling straight down the road.
- Your tires are wearing unevenly.
- Your steering wheel doesn’t rebound easily following a turn.
- Your steering wheel shakes a lot while traveling on a smooth road.
If you subject your vehicle to normal driving conditions, you should have your alignment checked at least once a year. If you drive on dirt roads or streets with lots of potholes, you may need to have your alignment checked more frequently. Call your local Tuffy location to schedule a wheel alignment, or stop in for an alignment check today.
