Your vehicle’s brakes and transmission, as well as your power steering and cooling systems are fluid powered. And as those systems operate, the fluid that powers them absorbs a lot of abuse.
The key to a long life for the components that make up those systems is proper fluid maintenance. As your vehicle runs, its fluids break down and absorb contaminants. As those fluids degrade, your vehicle’s system performance will begin to suffer. If the fluids degrade too far, your vehicle’s systems can fail completely.
Take your engine, for example. Oil lubricates your internal engine parts. As it circulates through your engine, oil picks up particulates such as dust and metal shavings. Those particulates can damage your engine components, and that’s why it’s necessary to have your oil changed regularly.
Haven’t checked your fluids lately? Tuffy’s ASE-certified technicians will conduct a fluid sample evaluation on your vehicle, free of charge.
If your fluids are degraded past the manufacturer’s specifications or they’re overly contaminated, we’ll recommend a flush to remove the fluids and particulates from your systems. Then, we’ll add new fluids.
Because it can help fend off serious problems, a flush is recommended by your vehicle’s manufacturer at specific mileage intervals. Check your vehicle’s owner’s manual for details, or ask your ASE-certified Tuffy technician for free factory-scheduled maintenance guidelines. |
