I went to the Tuffy Service Center in Orland Park recently for an oil change and a general diagnostic.
The manager, Dave, took care of me personally. Not only was the oil change done quickly, but he informed me of other maintenance my car will need in the near future, and why these things need to be done to get the optimum efficiency from my vehicle.
Most service centers would just try to get you in and out and sell you unnecessary service, but this manager took the time to explain things.
It was almost closing time when I asked why they weren't closing yet, and he stated he was waiting for a customer to return. That is truly customer service. I would recommend Tuffy without reservation.

I have been taking my vehicles to the Tuffy store at 20250 S. LaGrange in Frankfort, Illinois since I moved to the area in the fall of 2010.
This is where I met Dan, the manager. He is ALWAYS fair with me, provides a clear understanding of issues, and is prompt and polite, even when the repair costs seem high!
He manages the workforce in a manner that keeps the operations running efficiently, and Tuffy should be proud to have such an employee!
I am, and will remain, a loyal customer as long as Dan is there!

I called several different places and received a wide range of prices. I decided to have my vehicle serviced at Tuffy's in Lake In The Hills location because of the way I was treated on the phone by Shaukat, and I will continue to use them exclusively.

On Saturday March 3, 2012, my son asked me were he should take his Honda for an oil change, and I recommended Tuffy in Yorkville. When he came home, I noticed his vehicle was dripping oil, so I put it up on the ramps and saw the aluminum oil pan was cracked because the drain plug had been tightened too tight.
I called the shop and they said they were open until 4:00pm. It was already 3:15, so we took the vehicle back in. They found that the pan was indeed cracked and said they would replace it.
Brandon, the Manager, said he had to pick up the pan from Honda and that the car would be ready around 6:00. At 6:15, the car was repaired.
I am very pleased with the great customer service. It is refreshing to know there are companies that stand behind their work and people like Brandon who do whatever it takes to make it right with the customer.
I will recommend Tuffy to all my friends and relatives.

Brandon and Tom at Tuffy Yorkville went out of the way to help rectify a situation with my Mom's car, a '97 Toyota Camry.
Two days after Christmas, my Mom was traveling from Wisconsin to visit us in Plano. She drove off the road as some point during her journey and called me because she thought she lost a muffler. Since we were so close to Tuffy, I suggested she take the car there.
Tom examined it and discovered that not only were exhaust repairs necessary, but also that the front engine mount was disconnected and the engine pushed over.
My mom later revealed that she had driven off the road and through a field, then continued to drive to Yorkville. She is close to 80, suffers from night blindness, and gets disoriented very easily. We (her children) decided it was best that she not drive.
Both Brandon and Tom understood and allowed us to keep her car there free of charge for approximately 3 weeks until we decided what to do.
With this kind of commitment, integrity, and customer service, we will continue to bring our cars to Tuffy of Yorkville for service.

I've been bringing my car to the Yorkville, IL Tuffy for a couple of years, and I have always gotten great service.
Whenever the mechanics check my car, they never make me feel pressured to fix something right away and communicate the honest necessity of repairs.
Today, I took my Liberty in for shocks/struts, tune-up, and radiator hoses.
They completed the work in a timely manner and also gave me a teacher discount. In these bad economic times, I was very thankful for the discount, and I really appreciate Brandon and Tom's hard work and quality customer service.

I just want to say how much I appreciate having Tim's Tuffy on Rt 59 in Plainfield/Joliet. We have been bringing our cars there since we moved to this area 10 years ago and we will not go anywhere else.
Tim and his team are so helpful and honest, and they always go the extra mile to help us any way they can. I recommend them to my friends any chance I get.

I went to the North Milwaukee Ave. location to get an oil change and repair a squicky sound. I am always impressed with the service. I was the first one there at 7:40 am. The manager opened up the shop before 8:00 because he saw me waiting. That was sooooo kind. Next, he actuallly showed me how worn out my brake pads are by bringing the pads into the waiting area. I never had anyone actually show me a bad part and I appreciate the extra mile. Mr. Acevedo also was very friendly and pleasent with me and the rest of the customers. I know that attention is always brought to us when something goes wrong, but I wanted to share a positive experience with you.

I have been bringing my vehicles to the Tuffy location on Route 59 in Plainfield for the past 8 years. I know when I bring my car in for repairs they will be honest. This week, I brought my car in with what appeared to be a serious electrical problem, and I was waiting for the call telling me it was going to cost a fortune. Then the shop manager called…he said he replaced a whole bunch of fuses and the vehicle was repaired. And it only cost me $22.00.
Who knows what would have happened if I brought my vehicle to one of those other shops?! It would have been easy to charge me for unwarranted work, but they did not, and that’s why I’m a long-time customer. I tell all my friends that Tuffy is the place to go. There is a reason his parking lot is always full!

I'd have to say I am beyond pleased with [the Oswego] location. I came in for a standard oil change, and they found out I had other major issues and actually showed nd explained them to me. The staff was so friendly and respectful, and their quote was the most reasonable of 10 shops in my area, so I chose them to handle the repairs.
But the work was going to take some time, and I had no way of getting home with my two children. They actually took me and my kids home and picked us back up when the work was done. I don’t know of any other place that would do something like that.
I cannot express how pleasant it was to go to a repair shop and not be pushed or taken advantage of. I highly recommend the Oswego store…I will trust them with all my future car repairs, hands down!!

These folks [Lake in the Hills] do an exceptional job for a reasonable price. I wouldn't go anyplace else for this work, and I work for a car dealer.
